First Steps
Upon initial contact, we will provide a detailed explanation of our bidding process and provide a questionnaire for you to complete that will give us more insight about your desired project. Then, we’ll schedule a preliminary walk through to meet and further discuss your vision. We will follow up with an initial bid based on the floor plan and estimated scope of work. While we know you are likely anxious to begin, we have learned that being thorough upfront allows for a smoother process throughout the duration of your project. Axiom Builders cares deeply about your satisfaction during the construction process as well as the end result.
Design Phase
Each custom build project is unique to our client. Depending on the scope and complexity of the project, interior designs or architectural drawings may be required if not already established. We will meet with the architect and interior designer to finalize floor plans and begin the permitting process.
Material Selection
Our building process includes thoughtful oversight with our Selections Manager in planning for the finishes for your new home or remodel. We will help guide you in knowing each decision needed and the ordering timelines to ensure a smooth process throughout construction. Axiom Builders welcomes working with your own interior designer. However, we additionally offers services with our own in-house interior designer to assist with creative design, source selections, plan layouts, coordinate colors and more, all while working with your budget!
Project Scope
Bringing together the design and materials, the final proposal outlines the anticipated project timeline and investment. This is one of the most important steps to confirm we have a clear understanding of the scope of work and expectations for all involved.
Execution
It is an exciting time for our clients and our team when we begin the execution of a design build project. At this stage, we have worked out a timeline that adapts to our client’s schedule, placed all custom orders, scheduled material delivery and we have mapped out a labor sequence among our team members. We are committed to doing our best to ensure your project is be completed thoroughly and efficiently.
In addition, each client has been provided access to their construction project in real time via our client portal. The client portal provides a calendar for the entire project so that clients are aware of the timing of each stage of the process. We also upload images of our work on a weekly basis and provide a synopsis of the work executed that week. This allows our clients to see the work being done in their homes in a safe manner without having to make multiple site visits. It is an invaluable tool that provides real-time progress and allows for consolidated communication between all parties.
Our team has organized the flow of work in a highly efficient manner. We do our best to be as unobtrusive and always maintain a safe and clean worksite. Communication is critical throughout the project therefore we schedule regular updates in person, via phone and/or via our client portal.
